In 1960, a young engineer named Rug of the Whitaker Corporation suffered a paralyzing injury. At that time his only option appeared to be a life sentence in a bed.

But working with Denver's Craig Hospital, he developed the world's first power recline seating system - a system that meant mobility and freedom.

Since then, Falcon has gone on to pioneer the tilt, the tilt & recline, and designed specialty seating for both adults and children, including the first front wheel drive standing power chair - which Falcon manufactured and sold for 17 years, but no longer makes. Innovation is its history and its future.

Falcon's hallmarks are a reflection of the people and the times that created the need - strong functional design, durability and respect for craftsmanship.

It's why Falcon's warranty is the strongest in the industry, its dedication to customer service unparalleled and why this family-owned Colorado business is still going strong after forty-five years.
